What was to be Tucson’s condo and hotel new construction, The Post, has been changed to be only a condo development. By scrapping previous plans of including a hotel into the mix, and taking on this new direction, delays will be no more. The developers, Bourn Partners, expect construction to begin on May 25th of this year.

I’m glad that The Post will finally begin construction soon because it was supposed to start last July and finish this December. But what’s done is done and all we can do is look and move forward. The revitalization of Downtown has been put on the backburner because of the economy, but this news to me is definitely progress.
